Hordes of Zombies is the latest release by a group recognized as one of the early grindcore gods: TERRORIZER. Many will be glad to hear that David Vincent has returned to record bass for this album! Lest we forget, Pete Sandoval is still ripping apart the drum set with high velocity blastbeats, double bass, and d-beats both frequent and vicious in nature. For this latest CD, TERRORIZER has decided to continue on down the path begun in 2006 with Darker Days Ahead towards a more death metal oriented sound while still retaining a grindcore influence, naturally. With much lower growls, truckloads of furious tremolo picking, and a more modern production, this album is very different from a release one might expect from TERRORIZER. Hordes of Zombies is proof that this band is a force to be reckoned with, not one to fade away after only a few releases! However, you must be warned in advance: TERRORIZER is not responsible for any injuries sustained in circle-pits that may be induced by this album. (Adam Gambel)
